The Sapphire Bloc rolls out first batch of tenants
March 11, 2015  • Malaya

THE newest place to hang out in Ortigas Center, The Sapphire Bloc retail area, is giving the public a sneak peek of exciting times ahead as it officially unveils its first batch of tenants.

Earlier, The Sapphire Bloc has generated a lot of buzz as Robinsons Residences’ latest foray into modern vertical developments that embrace the Live, Work and Play lifestyle. As a mixed use development,

The Sapphire Bloc features a commercial area that complements an authentic life style with its medley of delightfully interesting shops and restaurants. Encompassing the entire stretch of the project’s ground floor, the retail area was conceived as a casual leisure and dining haunt where visitors can freely hangout, chill and mingle without the need to get all formal and dressed up.

The focal point of the complex is the Promenade Al Fresco, an entry point accessible from both Sapphire and Garnet streets.

The Sapphire Bloc stands out from the stiffness of the city’s concrete structures with its stylish Art Deco architecture. Marked by bold colors and linear symmetry, Art Deco encapsulates the fusion of classic and modern concepts behind the establishments that will open its doors at The Sapphire Bloc.

Apart from its captured market - that is, the residents of The Sapphire Bloc - foodies, restaurant hoppers, office workers and the hip and fun-loving crowd from Ortigas and nearby cities are expected to brand The Sapphire Bloc as their ultimate lifestyle hub.

“The retail area of The Sapphire Bloc will enhance the Ortigas CBD lifestyle with its refreshing selection of dining and leisure establishments,” says Trina Cipriano, vice president for Business Development of Robinsons Land Corp. “It affords the ultimate city living experience to residents by bringing them closer to things they need and desire most.”

The tenants of The Sapphire Bloc were meticulously and specially handpicked based on stringent standards. The goal is to create an interesting and impressive line-up of high-end restaurants, brands and shops to make The Sapphire Bloc’s retail area the preferred go-to place for shopping, dining and simply bonding with families or friends.

For instance, amazing food and the renowned San Fo bar ambience can now be experienced at The Sapphire Bloc as Cable Car opens its doors at this much-awaited lifestyle hub. Foodies can indulge in its famous Cable Car fried rice, sisig rice, nachos and other crave-worthy bar food to match their spirit or bubbly of choice.

Another store to watch out is Pie Face, which will fill the gap for authentic and wide-variety of pie flavours that are missing in the local market. Along with gourmet savoury and sweet pies, it will also offer freshly baked pastries, sandwiches and other baked products. Australian award winning roaster Di Bella Coffee will supply specialty-roasted beans.

And what is a foodie haunt without Starbucks? The Sapphire Bloc introduces the premium Starbucks Reserve experience to the Ortigas Center. Starbucks Reserve is an elevated coffee platform, offering rare and exotic small batch single-origin coffee beans craftily brewed through the pour over method, coffee press and the one-of-a-kind Clover Brewing System, all curated to bring the best balance of flavor and aroma in single-cup brewing to our customers. This experience allows customers to engage with Starbucks’ passion for coffee through moments of education and discovery devoted to beverage innovation and excellence.
